Andrea Dovizioso began his MotoGP career at 16 years old, riding a Honda 125cc, and quickly made his mark by winning the 2004 125cc World Championship, with 5 victories and 6 podiums. The following year he stepped up to the next category, finishing third and earning the “Rookie of the Year” award, before securing second place in the championship for the next two years aboard the Honda 250cc of Team Scot.
In 2008, he made his MotoGP debut with Team Scot, moving in 2009 to the official HRC team, where he achieved his first victories and numerous podiums. His career with Ducati Corse, starting in 2013, established him as a top contender: in 2017 he scored 6 wins and finished second in the championship, repeating the feat in 2018 (4 wins, 5 podiums) and 2019 (2 wins, 7 podiums).
In 2020, Dovizioso maintained a strong performance with a victory in Austria and a third place in Spain, finishing fourth in the championship with 135 points. After a brief break, he returned to the World Championship in 2021 with Yamaha, competing for the Petronas Sepang Racing Team and scoring points in every GP. In 2022, he continued as lead rider for the WithU Yamaha RNF MotoGP Team.
Andrea Dovizioso concluded his remarkable career as a professional rider at the San Marino GP, surrounded by peers, friends, and fans. Today, in addition to pursuing motocross with his entrepreneurial project 04 Park – Monte Coralli, Andrea works closely with Yamaha MotoGP as a test rider and rider performance advisor, contributing to the development of the official bikes and supporting the team with his unique experience.
